Package Theft
It has been reported multiple package thefts in Laurelwood the past weeks. Since this a risk nowadays in every city as online shopping becomes the norm, the Board of Directors together with Property Management, encourage homeowners and residents to take precautions to avoid this from happening in our Community by following the below tips.
- Consider delivering your packages to your work address if permitted.
- Schedule delivery of your packages when someone is at home.
- Set up text and/or email alerts when packages are to arrive.
- Talk to your neighbors and see if they can pick up your package from your front door.
- Invest on a Ring or Nest doorbell, these help monitor your front door by keeping an eye on who approaches the door, talking to them to deter theft.
- Create an illusion that someone is home by using light timers.
- Watch out for your neighbors, if you see something, say something. Contact Corona Police Dispatch for Non Emergencies by dialing (951) 736-2330 Option 3.
These tips will help lower the risk of package theft in our community, we invite our homeowners and residents to be proactive following the above tips and provide your feedback by contacting our Property Management with any other concerns and/or questions.
