Mail Theft in Corona

Corona has had a rash of mailbox theft and vandalism.  With tax season here, thieves may be trying to get state and federal tax refund checks or personal information.   The thieves have stolen the Corona USPS master key.  Until locks are replaced, Corona mail is not secure.  This could take quite some time due to the number of cluster boxes throughout Corona.  In the meantime, make sure to pick up your mail each day or request to pick up mail at the post office.  If you want peace of mind, rent a mailbox at the UPS store in Stater Bros. shopping center or the Postal Annex in Von’s shopping center.
